Pregnancy photography with Jaimie and Ollie

Having your first child is a very special moment and I get quite a few people wanting to mark it with pregnancy photography. I appreciate itsĀ  personal thing, especially for the woman, so is not for everyone but a great way to mark your first family photo! We did one for both of our kids, they are now getting to the age when they’d like to know how they got in there!

Jaimie and Ollie came into the studio the other day, funnily enough I used to go to the same gym and running club as Jaimie years ago and she found me again on facebook!

They both came in with only a couple of weeks to go, quite a good time as you’ll have a decent “bump” by then.

Here is a slide show of some of the images taken.

  1. These kind of shots are great. Number 6 is nice.

I have seen a similar shot to number 6 (that was sent to me) which was taken in a dark setting, where the only light was on the area where the man’s head touched the ladies belly. Have lways remembered that. Really great effect.

    Great shots. :)

  2. I think these are great shots with lots of rapport between the two of them. I particularly like number 5 and way the hunky man is not afraid at all to show his soft side.

And I can see Junior (whoever he or she may be) in twenty years, looking at the photos and loving the fact that he can see how much he/she was wanted.

The only thing that gets me (and shot number 10 is the one that shouts it out) is the tattoo.

Will tattoos be around in 20 years? Will mum have had it laser’d off by then?

Call me old-fashioned, (no, don’t) but the tattoo just shouts out and says – oh no!

So, tgfp (thank god for photoshop) in the years to come.

Just my opinion, and no reflection on great photos and a great-looking couple who were obviously well into what they were doing, as you have brought out.

  5. These are beautiful photos. I really like many of your unique poses. The white is a little cold and sterile, but otherwise a great set. Her piercing is also kind of freaking me out. Obviously not your choice, but… all the same.

  6. Amazing pictures.I’ve never though to make a photo shooting when pregnant. They look like movie stars.

  7. Wow, how can you go wrong with a beautiful simple tattoo on a belly like that!

  10. You took some really good pics. I am just so bummed that I didn’t get preg. photos done with my first baby. It seems like we barely have any pics. Horrible way to start off! I’ll stop ranting now! I did enjoy the beautiful photos you took. Thanks for sharing.

  11. Great photos. I just started doing photography myself and the poses you have taken are wonderful.

  12. I do love the use of black long sleeve shirts with black backgrounds for maternity pictures and family portraits. Ever since I read about it in Scott Kelby’s Book I’ve been hooked. Good use here.

  13. They look like conjoined twins! The photo has this oneness to it….words fail me. a remarkable photo!

  14. you won’t be able to eat any food that you want during pregnancy as some foods could be harmful to the baby, like foods that ha”*~
